| Obverse description | Within a rhombus border, two heraldic shields displayed side by side: at left, the arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg, and at right, the personal arms of Archbishop Leonard of Keutschach. The date 1505 is inscribed in the field above the shields, and the initial letter L, identifying Archbishop Leonard, appears below. The design is executed in the late medieval hammered style characteristic of early sixteenth-century Austrian ecclesiastical coinage. |
