Obverse description Full-length figure of Saint Andreas (St. Andrew) facing forward, draped in robes, with the distinctive diagonal saltire cross (X-shaped cross) behind him, the arms of the cross extending to the coin's periphery. The date is divided across the field to the left and right of the figure, with the mintmaster's initials LW appearing in the lower field. The design occupies the entire flan in the compact, high-relief style typical of small hammered German Pfennig coinage of the mid-17th century.
Obverse script Latin
Obverse lettering 1666 LW
