Obverse description Two conjoined heraldic shields displayed side by side in the central field: the dexter shield bearing the Brandenburg bear passant, and the sinister shield bearing the Hohenzollern eagle. The mintmaster's symbol appears above the shields, dividing the first half of the date, with the second half of the date appearing below the shields. The design is crudely struck on an irregular flan, characteristic of hammered bracteate-style pfennig coinage of the period, with no surrounding legend.
