Reverse description Central field features a stylized ornamental cross design composed of interlocking foliate or trefoil elements, a common decorative motif on 13th-century German episcopal coinage. The cross arms terminate in rounded lobes, creating a bold, symmetrical pattern that fills much of the flan. The design is enclosed within a beaded circle border. The legend WIRZIBVRG is inscribed in uncial Latin letters around the periphery, identifying the city and see of Würzburg as the place of issue.
