Obverse description Central field depicts a rampant lion facing right in high relief, rendered in the bold, schematic style characteristic of 13th-century Bavarian bracteate-influenced coinage. The lion is shown with an open mouth and detailed mane, set against a plain field. Small star-like ornaments are visible around the periphery of the irregular flan, serving as decorative border elements. The design is executed without a surrounding legend, relying entirely on the heraldic device as the principal motif. The overall composition reflects the Wittelsbach dynastic emblem of the Duchy of Lower Bavaria.
