| Obverse description | Plain zinc field bearing the inscribed name of the issuing industrial works arranged in two groups: the legend HEDDERNHEIMER runs along the upper periphery in an arc, separated by a small six-pointed star ornament above the central inscription KUPFER- WERK, which is displayed in two lines across the middle of the field. The entire design is framed by a fine milled border of evenly spaced beads running around the full circumference of the coin. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a large, boldly incused numeral '1' centered prominently in the field, denoting the face value of one Pfennig. The figure is rendered in a plain, utilitarian sans-serif style characteristic of wartime notgeld coinage. A continuous beaded border frames the design around the full circumference, consistent in style with the obverse. The field is otherwise unadorned, with no additional legend or ornamental device. |
