| Obverse description | The obverse features a beaded inner circle enclosing the municipal coat of arms of Hamm in the central field, surrounded by a radiating sunray pattern between the inner circle and the octagonal outer rim. The circular legend reads STADT ● HAMM ● WESTFALEN, separated by decorative bullet stops, following the contour of the inner border. The overall design is rendered in a clean, utilitarian style typical of German Notgeld iron coinage of the First World War period. |
