| Obverse description | The octagonal zinc flan features a continuous pearl border encircling the entire perimeter. A circular legend reading 'A.-G. D. GERRESHEIMER GLASHÜTTENWERKE VORM. FERD. HEYE' runs around the outer field. The central area is divided by horizontal rules into three registers: the uppermost bears the legend 'VORM.', the middle displays the prominent bold legend 'FERD HEYE' above a cursive facsimile signature 'Heye', and the lower register contains the date '1917' flanked by small ornamental stops. A central circular hole pierces the flan. |
