| Obverse description | Crowned royal cypher of Grand Duke Georg of Mecklenburg-Strelitz occupying the central field, consisting of an interlaced cursive 'G' monogram surmounted by a elaborate ducal crown with arched finial and beaded detailing. The monogram is rendered in bold relief with graceful interlaced strokes. The coin border is defined by a continuous beaded rim.
