| Obverse description | The Brunswick helmet crest occupies the central field, depicting a crowned and elaborately mantled helm surmounted by the rearing horse of Brunswick, a traditional heraldic device of the Duchy. Below the helmet, a small shield bearing the Brunswick arms is visible. The design is rendered in low relief consistent with hammered coinage of the early seventeenth century, with an irregular flan edge typical of the period. |

| Reverse description | The denomination and date are inscribed in four lines across the central field in bold, blocky lettering characteristic of small hammered copper coinage of the period. The inscription reads 'I / PFENN / ING / 1620', denoting the value of one Pfennig. The field is otherwise unadorned, and the coin exhibits an irregular, roughly circular flan with slightly uneven strike pressure across the surface. |
