| Obverse description | Facing crowned bust of Duke Frederick the Handsome, rendered in low relief in the archaic Austrian bracteate style. The effigy holds a sword diagonally across the left field and an orb in the right field, both attributes of ducal authority. The crown is depicted with stylized points above the ruler's head. No legend or inscription appears; the design fills the flan with characteristic medieval Habsburg simplicity. |
