Reverse description A large imperial orb (Reichsapfel) prominently displayed in the lower field, consisting of a globe surmounted by a cross, with the numeral '1' incised upon the orb denoting the denomination. Above the orb, the mintmaster's initials are divided to either side — 'I' to the left and 'T' to the right — flanked by small floral or rosette ornaments. The design is plain and unlegended, relying entirely on the orb motif and initials as identifying devices.
