Obverse description Frontal bust of a bishop in full liturgical vestments, rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner, set within a quatrefoil border. The figure holds a lily-headed sceptre in each hand, raised to either side. The face is schematically depicted with a prominent mitre or crown-like headpiece above. The field shows no legend, with decorative elements filling the spaces between the lobes of the quatrefoil.
