| Obverse description | Central field features a vertically oriented double-ended lump or billet, a heraldic charge associated with the Bishopric of Dorpat, struck on a small irregular flan typical of medieval billon pfennigs. The device is crudely rendered in low relief, consistent with hand-hammered production of the period. A circular legend in uncial Latin script surrounds the central charge, reading TIDERICI · EPI, identifying the issuing bishop. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, with portions of the legend weakly visible. The coin displays typical wear and surface granularity characteristic of circulated medieval billon coinage. |
