| Obverse description | A quartered shield of Carinthia (Kärnten) set within a rhombus or lozenge-shaped frame occupies the central field, displaying the characteristic divided heraldic composition of the duchy. The upper two quarters feature the Carinthian panther rendered in relief, while the lower quarters bear the Habsburg-style striped or plain fields associated with the regional arms. A two-digit last date numeral appears above the shield in the upper field, indicating the year of striking within the reign of Archduke Charles II. The coin is uniface in character, struck by the hammered method, and exhibits the irregular flan typical of small silver issues of this period. |
