| Obverse description | Printed in black and violet by letterpress on plain paper, the obverse is headed by the merchant's name CARL DUDEN in large bold type, flanked by decorative rosette ornaments. Below, successive horizontal bands carry the business description MANUFAKTUR-U.MODEWAREN and place name LASSAN-ZINNOWITZ, divided by guilloche-style ornamental rules, with the denomination ÜBER 1 Pf. stated at centre. A series letter A appears to the left, and the serial number is set within a solid violet panel at the foot of the note. |
