Obverse description Entirely uninscribed obverse featuring a raised incuse rectangle set diagonally within a plain, concave field, characteristic of the so-called 'bloß Geld' (bare money) type of Austrian bracteate-influenced pfennig. The rectangular indent occupies the majority of the flan, its edges clearly defined against the surrounding depressed field. No legend, device, or additional ornament is present. The irregular, roughly circular flan exhibits the typical characteristics of hand-hammered medieval coinage, with uneven edges and slight concavity resulting from the striking process.
