| Obverse description | Octagonal zinc Notgeld token with a central circular hole piercing the field. The municipal shield of Apolda occupies the central device, rendered in low relief and partially obscured by the perforation. A continuous border of raised pearls (beaded rim) runs along the inner edge of all eight sides. The curved legend STADT APOLDA arcs across the upper portion of the coin between the beaded border and the central shield. |
