| Obverse description | Central field displays the arms of the County of Sulz: a shield divided horizontally, with the date numerals '23' (last two digits of 1623) appearing above the shield in the upper field. The lower portion of the shield features a crescent or heraldic charge, with the initial letter 'A' (for Alwig) inscribed in the central division of the shield. The entire design is contained within a beaded or rope-like inner border, characteristic of hammered small silver coinage of the early seventeenth century. |
