Reverse description The reverse of this hammered silver pfennig presents a heavily worn and somewhat incuse field, as is typical of thin medieval bracteate-style coins struck on irregular flans. The design elements are largely indistinct due to the nature of the hammered striking process and subsequent circulation wear, revealing only faint traces of design relief. The flat, unadorned field with irregular edges is consistent with Vienna Mint production under Albrecht II. No legend or inscription is discernible. The plain edge and thin flan are characteristic of Austrian pfennig coinage of the first half of the 14th century.
