| Obverse description | Plain zinc field bearing the large raised numeral '1' at center, occupying the majority of the coin's surface. The central device is enclosed by a continuous inner ring of raised beads forming a circular border. The peripheral legend reads 'ZÜNDHOLZFABRIK ✶ ALBERSWEILER ✶' in raised Latin capital letters, running clockwise around the circumference between the bead border and the plain outer rim. Two six-pointed star ornaments serve as dividers within the legend. The overall design is utilitarian, consistent with wartime Notgeld emergency coinage issued by private industrial enterprises. |
