| Obverse description | Orange and black letterpress Notgeld note with an orange arabesque underprint across the field. The central vignette is the municipal coat of arms of Zeulenroda, a shield bearing a crowned lion above a brickwork base surmounted by a crenellated tower, printed in black and orange. Large bold numeral '1' appears at left and right flanking the arms. Below the arms, the issue date and place are inscribed, followed by the title 'Der Stadtgemeindevorstand' and a facsimile signature above the designation 'Oberbürgermeister'. The denomination 'EIN PFENNIG' is set in bold block capitals within a solid black panel at the foot of the note. |
