Obverse description Central design features a pedestal surmounted by the heraldic eagle or branch emblem representing the arms of the city of Nuremberg. The denomination numeral '1' appears to the left of the pedestal and the Pfennig symbol (₰) to the right, with the date split on either side of the base, reading '18' and '07'. The overall composition is simple and utilitarian, typical of late Holy Roman Empire municipal coinage. The field is plain with a raised border rim encircling the design.
