Obverse description Central field displays the crowned arms of Nuremberg: a divided shield bearing a demi-eagle on the dexter side and three diagonal bars on the sinister side, surrounded by ornate foliate scrollwork. The date is split across the upper field flanking the crown, with the year numerals arranged to either side. A beaded inner border runs along the entire circumference, surrounded by a milled outer rim. The overall design is compact and finely detailed for a small billon issue, consistent with late 18th-century Nuremberg municipal coinage.
