Reverse description The reverse bears the denomination inscription 'I PFENNING' struck in crude Latin lettering across the field, characteristic of the rough hammered technique employed for this emergency municipal issue. The legend is arranged within a simple border and occupies the majority of the available flan surface. The strike is typically weak and irregular, as expected for small copper Pfennig coinage produced by the city of Fürstenwalde during the Kipper und Wipper inflationary period of 1621–1622. The flan edges are irregular and show minor clipping consistent with hammered coinage of this type.
