Obverse description Two conjoined shield arms side by side within a beaded border: the left shield bears the Erfurt wheel emblem, and the right shield displays vertical bars (the Mainz arms). The date 1620 is divided and placed above the two shields, separated by the mint letter 'E' for Erfurt. The fields are plain, and the coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan typical of hammered coinage of the period.
