| Obverse description | Printed in black and olive-green on a pale yellow guilloche underprint, the obverse bears an intaglio portrait of José Martí at right, his name inscribed in a panel along the lower border. At centre, a large denomination numeral "1" is set within a circular guilloche rosette above the word "PESO", flanked to the left by the Banco Central de Cuba monogram in a squared vignette. The date "AÑO" followed by the issue year appears at lower left and upper right, with a single signature line reading "PRESIDENTE DEL BANCO" below centre. |
