| Additional information |
Sint Maarten does not issue its own currency — the island uses the Eastern Caribbean dollar and, in the Dutch constituent country, the Netherlands Antillean guilder's successor. A bronze "1 Peso" denomination attributed to Sint Maarten with a tyrannosaurus motif has no basis in any official monetary authority. This appears to be a fantasy piece or private issue with no legitimate governmental backing.
