Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield surmounted by the Phrygian cap atop a fasces, with a landscape of mountains, a rising sun, and a royal palm within the shield's quarters. A key appears at the base of the shield, flanked by a sugarcane stalk to the left and an oak branch to the right, tied together below.
