| Obverse description | Central device features the Honduran provisional coat of arms enclosed within a beaded inner circle: a triangle containing a volcanic mountain rising from the sea, flanked by two fortified towers at the base, with radiating sun rays above the peak. Flanking the inner circle are two leafy branches, and a mural crown surmounts the design at the top. The circular legend MONEDA PROVISIONAL DEL ESTADO DE HONDURAS runs around the inner circle, with a small decorative fleuron at the base. The entire design is contained within a boldly reeded outer rim. |
