| Obverse description | The Guatemalan national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quetzal bird perched atop a scroll inscribed with the independence date, flanked by crossed rifles and a sword over a wreath of laurel and olive branches. The legend REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 1894 positioned in the exergue at the bottom.
