| Obverse description | The Mexican national coat of arms dominates the central field, depicting a Mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus growing from a rocky outcrop, devouring a serpent in its beak and talons. The scene is rendered in fine relief with detailed feather work on the eagle's wings and body. A wreath of oak and laurel branches frames the base of the central device. The mint mark 'Mo' appears to the left of the cactus. The arc legend 'ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS' curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin letters, with a beaded inner border encircling the entire design. |
