Reverse description Central field features a bold right-facing profile portrait of an indigenous figure, rendered in a monumental sculptural style reminiscent of pre-Columbian stonework, wearing a traditional headdress. To the left of the portrait the denomination mark '$1' is inscribed in a stylized form. The date 1979 appears prominently in the lower field beneath the portrait. The mintmark 'Mo' is positioned to the upper right of the central device. A decorative chain-link border surrounds the entire design consistent with the obverse.
