| Obverse description | Brown intaglio print over a fine guilloche underprint, centred on the national coat of arms with a portrait vignette of Juan Pablo Duarte y Díez at right. The issuer name runs across the top, face value appears in numerals at all four corners and in words at centre-left and along the bottom edge, with two black signature lines and their titles in the lower zone. A commemorative overprint at centre bears crossed flags, an image of the Constitution, and the inscription marking the 150th anniversary of the Constitution with the dates 1844–1994. |
