The Dominican Republic adopted its first constitution on November 6, 1844 — just nine months after declaring independence from Haiti. This commemorative issue marks the 150th anniversary of that document, placing it squarely in the 1994 window of the stated date range. De La Rue's London facility handled the printing, as it did for the majority of Dominican issues through this period.
Security is limited to a watermark alone, modest even by early 1990s regional standards.
