| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of Emperor Maximilian I, with finely engraved wavy hair and a long, flowing beard rendered in high sculptural relief. The truncation of the neck is visible at the base of the bust, beneath which appears the engraver's signature. The legend MAXIMILIANO EMPERADOR curves along the upper periphery, flanked by a beaded inner border and a reeded rim. The portrait is executed in a classical European academic style, reflecting the coin's Parisian artistic influence.
