The circular legend EL INGENIOSO HIDALGO DON QUIJOTE DE LA MANCHA arcs along the upper and lateral rim, while the issue date 1982 appears in the lower right field and the date 1605, commemorating the first publication of the novel, is inscribed in the exergue.
