| Obverse description | Printed in black on cream paper, the obverse is framed by a decorative border of fleur-de-lis and scroll motifs, with the denomination 'P 1 P' repeated at each corner. The central text panel bears a certification that the equivalent of one peso has been deposited in the Philippine National Bank, redeemable in Philippine Commonwealth currency upon cessation of the emergency, flanked by serial numbers.
