Obverse description Printed in black on cream paper, the obverse is framed by a decorative border of fleur-de-lis and scroll motifs, with the denomination 'P 1 P' repeated at each corner. The central text panel bears a certification that the equivalent of one peso has been deposited in the Philippine National Bank, redeemable in Philippine Commonwealth currency upon cessation of the emergency, flanked by serial numbers. Four signature lines are provided below for the Provincial Governor, Provincial Treasurer, Provincial Auditor, and Assistant Provincial Treasurer, with 'SERIES A' appearing at the upper left and right.

Reverse description Printed in red on cream paper and enclosed within a simple decorative rule border, the reverse carries 'ONE PESO' at both the upper and lower margins, with the denomination 'P 1 P' at each corner. The central field is dominated by the bold legend 'MOUNTAIN PROVINCE EMERGENCY NOTE', above and below which are inscriptions declaring the note issued by authority of the President of the Philippines and the Provincial Board of Mountain Province, constituting legal tender contingent upon the requisite signatures and official seal of the province.
