Obverse description	Central intaglio vignette of José Gervasio Artigas in oval frame, rendered in profile facing left, set against elaborate guilloche underprint with lace-pattern borders and numeral "1" counters at each corner. The issuer's name arches across the top in ornate script lettering, with the denomination "UN PESO" in bold across the lower portion of the vignette. Three signature lines appear at the bottom, captioned "El Gerente", "El Presidente", and "El Delegado del Gobierno", with the printer's imprint "Waterlow & Sons Ld. Londres" at the base.
