Obverse description A condor with wings spread wide stands in three-quarter view facing left, perched upon a rocky outcrop at the center of the field. The bird is rendered in fine naturalistic detail, with individually delineated flight feathers and a pronounced hooked beak. The fineness designation '0.7' appears in small characters to the lower left of the rock. The circular legend 'REPUBLICA DE CHILE' runs along the upper periphery in upright Latin capitals, and a beaded border frames the entire design.
