| Obverse description | The left half of the note is occupied by a bold woodcut-style vignette of the Barcelona coat of arms — a quartered shield with a cross and chequered fields — set against an elaborate foliate surround above a detailed sailing vessel on choppy waves. The right half presents the denomination and issuing authority in large display lettering against a beige underprint of repeated letter characters forming a tonal guilloche pattern. Two manuscript signatures appear below the authorisation text, beneath the printed titles of the Conseller Regidor d'Hisenda and the Alcalde. |
