Obverse description The face is printed in dark blue on cream paper, enclosed within a multi-line ornamental guilloche border with decorative corner motifs. The issuing authority's name appears at the top in bold letterpress, followed by the bearer clause text in italic script, with the denomination value 'UNA pesseta' set in large display type at centre. Two oval guilloche lozenges bearing '1 Pta.' flank the lower left and upper right, and three manuscript signatures below identify the Alcalde, the Interventor, and the Conseller de Finances.
Obverse lettering L'AJUNTAMENT D'ARTESA DE LLEIDA reconeix a favor del portador la quantitat d'UNA pesseta en virtut de l'acord de 20 de juny del 1937.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in dark blue on a plain cream ground, framed by a simple ruled border with oval guilloche denomination panels at left and right corners reading '1 Pta.' At centre, the arms of Catalonia — the four vertical red bars on gold field — appear on a globe-shaped vignette surmounted by a laurel wreath. The large denomination 'UNA PESSETA' is set in bold arched display lettering across the lower half, with the mandatory-currency legend in italic script beneath. A red serial number is printed to the upper right of the central vignette.
