Obverse description Bare-headed youthful effigy of King Alfonso XIII facing left, depicted in military uniform with collar detail visible at the truncation. The portrait, engraved by Bartolomé Maura Montaner, presents the king as a young sovereign in his fourth official portrait type. The circular legend reads 'ALFONSO XIII POR LA G· DE DIOS' along the upper periphery, with the date flanked by two stars positioned in the lower field.
