| Obverse description | Draped bust of Sihtric Anlafsson facing left, rendered in the Hiberno-Norse style with a striated diadem or helmet indicated by pronounced comb-like lines across the crown of the head. An inverted crozier is depicted behind the neck, a distinctive iconographic feature of this issue. The facial features are stylised, with a prominent eye, defined nose, and simplified mouth characteristic of Hiberno-Norse die-cutting. The bust is encircled by a beaded inner border, beyond which the Latin legend is arranged around the periphery of the flan. |
