Obverse description The colonial Coat of Arms of Victoria occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield with stars and a fleece, surmounted by a rising sun above a crest, and supported by a kangaroo to the left and an emu to the right standing on a grassy ground. A ribbon scroll beneath the supporters bears the motto ADVANCE VICTORIA in raised lettering. The outer legend reads VICTORIA 1862 above, with T. STOKES MAKER 100 COLLINS ST. EAST MELBOURNE arranged around the lower periphery. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.

Reverse description The central field displays the merchant's name and trade within an ornate oval cartouche formed by decorative foliate and scroll work. The name S. DEEBLE appears in the upper portion of the cartouche in raised block lettering, separated from the word DRAPER below by an elaborate foliate ornament. The peripheral legend reads LONDON HOUSE BOURKE ST. above and MELBOURNE below, all contained within a beaded border that frames the entire design.
