| Reverse description | A large, fully-opened Tudor rose occupies the central field, rendered with multiple layered petals and a prominent seeded center, flanked by small leaves at the base. Above the rose is a detailed Royal crown with fleurs-de-lis and crosses pattée. The motto UTILE DULCI appears on a curved ribbon scroll at the base of the design. The peripheral legend ROSA AMERICANA with the date 1723 arcs around the upper portion of the coin, separated by pellets. A toothed border frames the entire reverse. |
