Obverse description The obverse is entirely typographic in design, bearing no pictorial device. The field is filled with multiple lines of incuse raised lettering in bold roman capitals identifying the issuer: the name HUGH PECK prominently centred, with his business descriptions as estate agent, money lender, hotel broker, and valuator arranged above and below. The address 67 LITTLE COLLINS STREET EAST and the establishment date 1853 appear respectively along the upper arc and lower field, with MELBOURNE inscribed along the base. The whole is contained within a beaded border.
