| Obverse description | Facing enthroned effigy of King Henry VII rendered in the Sovereign-type style, depicted holding an orb in the left hand and a sceptre topped by a saltire cross in the right, seated upon a throne with a single-pillar design. The portrait is highly stylised in the late medieval English hammered tradition, with the king shown frontally wearing a crown. A beaded inner circle frames the central design, with the abbreviated Latin legend disposed around the periphery in uncial characters. |
