Obverse description Facing crowned effigy of King Henry III in the style characteristic of Long Cross class 4a, with the bust closely resembling class 3d2. The king holds a sceptre in his right hand, and the crown is adorned with pellet ornaments. A beaded inner circle frames the portrait, with the Latin legend commencing at approximately the one o'clock position around the periphery.
