Reverse description Central cross pattée with a small annulet or pellet at the centre, enclosed within a raised inner circle. Each quarter of the inner circle contains a trefoil or floral ornament, a design motif characteristic of the Tealby class B penny reverse. A partial Latin legend naming the moneyer and mint surrounds the inner circle, reading +HENRII:ON:S;EDM, identifying the moneyer Henry operating at the Bury St Edmunds mint. The flan is irregularly shaped, with the legend partially visible due to the limitations of hand-struck production.
