| Obverse description | Facing crowned bust of King Edward IV rendered in the conventional medieval style, with the king depicted full-face wearing a plain crown. The face is stylized with simple linear features characteristic of late 15th-century English hammered coinage. A beaded inner circle surrounds the effigy, and the peripheral legend in uncial Latin reads + EDWARD DI GRA REX AN, identifying the monarch as Edward by the Grace of God King of England.
